I was recently introduced to MyPhoneVouchers which at its most basic is a smart phone version of those voucher books. This by itself has its advantages for not-for-profits in that there is no commitment or stock and the supporters love it because it’s always with them with no chucky book. The other advantages for our supporters is the wide range of discounts that are available and also it sorts the vouchers to those that are closest to them in the categories.
For use there was another advantage and that is that the return on each sale was 50% or $20.00 per membership and our supporters are charged only $39.95. MyPhoneVouchers.com also gave us free accounts for our staff and volunteers, which put a smile on the face these important people, we also got a few free accounts for our quiz night and a raffle. One thing I would recommend it that you get someone in your organisation to learn how to setup the mobile site on supporter’s smart phones so it looks like a native application. Other than that we found MyPhoneVouchers.com to be a simple way to make the extra funds that are needed by our organisation.
