What a Great Find!

Last week I was asked to help my local school fundraiser.  I really don't need another box of chocolates or donuts but I do like to help out if I can.  So what is the fundraising product this time?  I was pleasantly surprised, nothing for my waist and but something my hip pocket.  It is membership to an innovative little mobile web site.  For only $39.95 I got access to the site and with that I’m told more than 52000 offers from more than 3000 businesses across Australia.  I live in Perth and have family in Melbourne and both metro areas have more than 600 businesses providing exclusive offers to MyPhoneVouchers members.

My second surprise was that the offers on the mobile site were well represented across a number of categories rather than being just restaurants.  Don’t get me wrong, I love food but to be honest my waist does not need it.  What was in there was tradesmen, car mechanics, and beauty services and yes some food places that sound like places I would like to go.  I have purchased a paper based voucher product called the Entertainment Book in the past however I found that I always forgot the book and also it was difficult to find discounts near me.  This is where the MyPhoneVouchers.com really excels.  Just click the “Use GPS Location” button at the top and when I then do searches it orders them by how far they are away from me.  Brilliant!

The “Find Location” menu item also allows you to “Fake” where you are so you can tell the application where you are going to be latter today or next week to find places in that area that is going to give you a discount.  I was able to plan an outing for next week and best of all I’m getting it for half price…

I got in touch with MyPhoneVouchers to see if they could help our son’s football club, for wish I got roped into becoming the secretary, and I was beyond impressed.  While they were more than willing to help with the fundraising product they were also interesting in supporting us in other ways and all for free.  First we were given advertising in the community information section of the mobile site so members of MyPhoneVouchers.com that want to find a local football club will be able to find us.  Some groups like dance schools etc. actually offer a discount that would also appear but that’s not for us.  The second freebie that they gave us was free access for our volunteers, committee and staff.  We don’t have any haha and I had already paid at the school but I think the sentiment and idea is nice.  MPV want to help us reward those that are helping us and all for free.  The last thing that was for free is actually free accounts that we can give to anyone we like as prizes in other fundraising events, events or just give them as thank-you’s at our presentation night.  They also have a three step process to help us get our supporters to become MyPhoneVoucher members.  The first step is a free trial (obviously the school decided not to run this phase), the second phase just gives the club (or school) additional revenue for the first year which is $30 of the $39.95 (I’m sure the school did take account of this phase  ...smile…) and the final phase is the usual revenue splitting at $20 of the $39.95 which is more than fair when compared with other fundraising products.  We are in so if you would like to support us or other groups, charities or schools you can go and purchase it from their site.

Not a new service but one that should be getting more attention

Discounts, Discounts, Discounts that’s what’s MyPhoneVouchers.com is all about, members get access to hundreds of local discounts vouchers on their mobile phone for only $39.95.  When they say local they don’t mean that the vouchers are limited to a small area, to the contrary local means around where the member happens to be.  So even when you go to the other side of the country your will still have access to hundreds of “Local” discount vouchers.

Most surprising to most people is what MyPhoneVouchers.com does with the 39.95.  They are committed to returning 50% of the membership fees back to schools, community groups, sports clubs or charities that are chosen by their members.  The rest of the funds are used to keep the service running and providing exceptional service.  Not sure if you would get the value from the mobile site? Well simply go to MyPhoneVouchers Mobile Site and check for yourself, because while you can’t use the vouchers without a valid membership however all of the offers can be seen.

And what will you find? Unlike other paper based voucher or coupon systems you that seemed to be either entertainment or children activity themed, MyPhoneVouchers.com is completely online so they can offer many different types of vouchers or from various type of vendors.  From florists to car detailers and the usual restaurants and fun activities.  There is literally something for everyone and every day.  The other difference to those paper based voucher / coupon products is that being electronic MyPhoneVouchers are always adding new vouchers and many can be reused.  They say they have a target of 200 new vouchers per month however I have seen many months when many more are added.  The number of vouchers are growing so fast that they will soon be able to claim to be the biggest in Australia.  The reuse factor is also very interesting in that it really multiples the value and the effective number of vouchers.  If MyPhonevouchers.com were to have to print all of the vouchers available to every member the book would be more than 51,000 pages think.  Just think that a coffee shop may offer a daily discount so that would need 365 pages.

Even if you are not community minded, which obviously in not the case for the MyPhoneVouchers.com organisation, the value of get hundreds of discounts in your local area whether that’s at home or when you travel it can’t be argued that you will get you value from this innovative product.  Oh one last thing remember it’s on your smart phone some you will never leave home without it…. If only a famous debit card could say the same thing.

MPV Fundraising in Australia Proliferates

My Phone Vouchers’ platform of peddling subscriptions of their service, keeping in touch with vital volunteers through free accounts, asking ventures to root for local groups via in-expensive advertisement purchasing, and providing an expedient means for supporters to grab exclusive discounts by elevating their smart phones’ power all boils down to a good cause: fundraising. This scheme sustains schools, community groups and charities in various parts of Australia evidently manifesting that My Phone Vouchers does not fell short of promoting mutualism wherein both parties benefit from the program.

Some went on to sharing their experiences with the manifesto such as a parent relating his story of ending up as a regular in MPV.com due to his involvement in his children’s gymnastic pursuits in a non-profit gymnastics club (West Coast Gymnasts Inc.). Maximizing the value of the MPV concept, he was able to finance for the floor replacement under the beam area of the gym. Moreover, the funds are utilized in schools in NSW and sports events in Sydney. There are also group fundraisings in Newcastle and brainstorming of fundraising ideas in Wollongong

One such institutional fundraising is My School Walk or Run for Fun that creates 70% clear net cash profit and can be organized cross country, in an athletics carnival, family walk-a-thon or regular HPE classes. Furthermore, raffle fundraisers are topping the occasions due to its compatibility with stand-alone schools wherein fortunate winners get to have one of the five chief raffles namely: Hamilton Island Raffle, Gold Coast Raffle, Resort Holiday Raffle, Fiji Holiday Raffle and Sydney Holiday Raffle. Another one of the school fundraising activities, Scratch + Support, makes up 90% profit in a short span of time. Not only is this applicable in schools but also in sporting teams, support groups, school fetes/fairs, social clubs, charity fundraising, group tours, school camps, scouts, guides, special events as well.

A blog, Team Bus, cultivated sport fundraising resource through personal experiences storytelling, money raising and award giving where the incentives will be procured. The money collected can cover travel expenses of athletes, purchase in-trend equipment, and fund club room and court upgrades. The Australian Drug Foundation, on the other hand, came up with ideas to reveal the fun in fundraising in endeavors like club gift giving, free car wash, Easter egg hunt, karaoke, cinema or dress up night, auction, garage sale, suitcase dinner, instant party, giddy up, balloons with dollars, lucky keys, weekly cash jackpot, coin toss, rebel sport-club rebate program, coin toss, raffles, trophy donations footy tipping or fantasy competitions, business trade directory, community voucher/coupon booklets, club investments, merchandise, race meets and flight night.

All this is made possible by one objective. Where will these funds be allocated to? Is it convenient or not to post times and venues of the fundraising activities in the Community Groups section? Do new members have their discount? All it takes is one call. Through the assistance of My Phone Vouchers, a cause can have its desirable effects.
